laser resurfacing devices

Laser skin rejuvenation procedure

Equipment for laser resurfacing is represented on the market by devices for laser ablation (solid and fractionated), devices for non-ablative laser resurfacing (erbium, neodymium, diode lasers) and devices for laser phoresis. Depending on the wavelength, laser radiation penetrates to different depths and affects strictly defined targets in the tissues (structural proteins, blood, water, pigment), so each laser resurfacing device solves its own range of aesthetic problems.

laser ablation devices

The main target of ablative lasers for resurfacing is water, which evaporates during the procedure. An active process of cell regeneration begins in the damaged area, the skin is renewed, rejuvenated and tightened. Continuous laser ablation (laser peeling) is very painful and requires long rehabilitation, which is why experts now prefer devices for fractional (point) laser resurfacing. They are considered an alternative to a surgical lift: the results are truly impressive. The fractional laser resurfacing procedure is indicated for pronounced signs of aging: ptosis, deep wrinkles, age-related pigmentation, noticeable imperfections in the relief of the skin.

Devices for non-ablative laser resurfacing

The group of devices for non-ablative laser resurfacing is quite large. Neodymium lasers are well suited to removing vascular patterns from the skin (the target is blood hemoglobin). Diode lasers for rejuvenation mainly affect collagen, causing its remodeling and, consequently, lifting and tightening of the skin. Non-ablative erbium lasers work in a similar way to ablative laser resurfacing machines: they evaporate water and damage tissue, activating regeneration, but they do not affect the skin's surface.

Laser phoresis devices

Equipment for laser phoresis provides deep penetration into the skin of rejuvenating cocktails (most often hyaluronic acid preparations act in this role). This procedure allows you to deeply moisturize the skin, completely smooth fine wrinkles, improve the complexion and texture of the skin. Laserophoresis does not cause tissue heating and gently stimulates natural renewal processes.

What type of equipment to choose for laser resurfacing is a difficult question, because the "specialization" of lasers is quite narrow. In well-known aesthetic medicine clinics, ablative lasers are most often used to achieve the effect of radical rejuvenation. Beauty salons often offer non-invasive laser resurfacing or anti-aging laser phoresis. The decision to buy one or another laser for rejuvenation depends on many factors: budget, local demand, qualifications of specialists.
